I was at a business trip last week and called a colleague in the morning to check if he was ready for breakfast. As he answered, the noise in the background made me ask if he was already on his way to the morning meeting. “No, not at all”, he said. “I’m in the shower!” I hadn’t thought about it before but maybe Xperia™ active will create new kinds of behavior.
Maybe I can continue my life showering without my phone but being able to use it in pouring rain is very convenient. The Wet-finger tracking functionality of the touch screen makes that possible. Just like the surfer in the video above, DC Rainmaker, an American triathlon athlete and blogger, decided to really put Xperia™ active to the test. He unpacked it, tried out the ANT+ functionality with a cardio belt, went running, went swimming and even treated Xperia™ active to some of his sports gel. Then he wrote about the whole test on his blog. I really enjoy reading his thorough product review and the discussion going on the comments but I also feel the need to say: Don’t try all of that at home:-)
