We’d like to introduce you to our Single-Lens Display Module – a concept that’s part of our exploration into eyewear within our wearable experience… that all started last year with SmartEyeglass.
This new lens module is capable of attaching to conventional eyewear – transforming glasses, sun glasses or even goggles into a smart device, capable of displaying visual information.
Whether you’re donning ski goggles, sunglasses or reading specs, the module will give you instant access to visual information, via a single 640x400px High-res Colour OLED Microdisplay to help you with whatever you’re doing – be that aiming for the green or going on a run.
We’ll be working closely with commercial partners on Single-Lens Display Module through 2015, to shape the experiences – and as you might expect, we’ll also be making an SDK available for partners.
But before that – we’ll be showcasing the new technology at CES 2015 under the working title; “SmartEyeglass Attach!”- along with “SmartEyeglass” – so stay tuned for more in the New Year.
