Following on the earlier release of the beta ROM for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray, Sony Mobile released Ice Cream Sandwich beta ROM for Xperia play as well. Sony is keen to hear from the play users about how well the ROM performs while playing games. Sony mentioned that a majority of work related to optimizing the ROM for game compatibility has been completed, yet the company needs to know how it performs in the units around the world. Sony asks the play users to test the various games and give their feedback on whether the game played well or it glitched.
Of course, your phone must be bootloader unlocked and you must be running version 4.0.2.A.0.42 in order to try the ROM. More on how to install and how to give your feedback, you can check out the Sony Official Blog.
