FreakerSNEAKS, 4K filming and the future of TV

Custom shoe designer Jonny Barry from FreakerSNEAKS has created some limited edition pairs of Nike Air Jordans; ‘JRDN X PS4’. The sneakers incorporate the classic PlayStation colour scheme with the PS4TM logo replacing the iconic Air Jordan graphics. These techy-trainers even have an HDMI cable port at the back of the sole, even though the port may not be fully functional it acts as an easy to carry strap to tote your trainers across town. But if you want to get your hands (or feet) on a pair, there’ll only be 10 pairs available so your best bet to land yourself a pair is via FreakerSNEAKS Instagram page.4K server

From footwear to 4K filming now as Sony’s filming revolution continues to expand, this time capturing the highlights of the 2014 Hertz British MotoGP at Silverstone last weekend. Sony’s production team captured the high-speed intensity of MotoGP using two PMW-55 cameras and recorded using Sony’s PWS-4400 4K Server. The adrenaline filled race was displayed on two of Sony’s PVM-X300 30-inch 4K TRIMASTER™ LCD screens, by Sony’s professionals who caught the action live at Silverstone. For those of you who are heading to IBC in Amsterdam next year, you’ll be able to review all of the 4K highlights.

Bill Drummond reported to us live from this year’s IBC exhibition filling us in on all the details of Sony’s new generation of cameras. Bill started off taking us through the PXW-X70 which is an entry point into the 4K camera world with some lovely features especially Carl Zeiss 10x zoom, 4K camera sensor and not to forget the parallel recording feature. Take a look at the all of the latest cameras in our new line up here.
