In another great piece of news for Xperia Z2, DxOMark has announced that our flagship smartphone is officially the best on the market when it comes to camera and camcorder performance.
Awarding Xperia Z2 a total of 79 points, the experts at DxO’s testing labs were particularly impressed with the phone’s handling of exposure and contrast, commenting on its “impressive detail preservation outdoors” and its “fast and reactive autofocus”.
The DxOMark is *the* industry benchmark, overseen by DxO Labs; a body of industry experts who set the standard for camera and lens quality, measurements and ratings. Its reports have, for years, rigorously tested cameras across both the digital, traditional and mobile sectors, so to achieve this rating is a real honour and testament to the quality that we strive for.
The rating of 79 builds upon the 76 points that Xperia Z1 achieved last year, and highlights the power of Xperia Z2’s 20.7 MP camera, Exmor RS™ for mobile image sensor, Sony’s award-winning G Lens and the intelligent BIONZ™ for mobile image-processing engine.
Congratulations to everyone who made this happen!
