After a few weeks respite, it’s time for another Xperia Photo Academy tutorial, this time ‘focusing’ (excuse the pun) on our native Xperia app, Background Defocus.
Our first three tutorials were held by internationally renowned photographers J.N. Silva, Ben Thomas and Greg Funnell who each shared their expertise in low light, perspective and contrast photography.
The latest tutorial comes from Nicanor Garcia; a Barcelona based architect and photographer who shares his passion for close-up photography and the manipulation of camera focus.
Nicanor takes advantage Xperia Z3’s high quality 20.7MP camera and superior ISO rating to manipulate perspective and focus in his close-up shots. In his tutorial he explains how to achieve his stunning results by getting the best out of Xperia’s Background Defocus camera app.
This is in fact the first in a two part series looking at focus. In a couple of weeks time Nicanor will be sharing his secrets on how to make the best use of focus in your manual settings – so stay tuned.
Check out some of Nicanor Garcia’s impressive photography below and head over to the Xperia Photo Academy now to pick up some tips & tricks.
