There’s never a quiet week at Sony and the last seven days have proved no exception.
Earlier this week, Sony’s 4K TV team revealed their exciting collaboration with Wallpaper* magazine for the Salone del Mobile, one of the world’s pre-eminent international design exhibitions taking place this week until 13th April.
Each year Wallpaper* commissions designers, makers and manufacturers to create one-of-a-kind items of furniture, fittings, fashion, food and more, for Wallpaper* Handmade, a stunning exhibition dedicated to the marriage of craftsmanship and design.
As part of this, and to champion the beauty of detail and design, Sony created a series of three short films capturing select handmade designers in their studios, bringing to life the power of bespoke craft through revolutionary new Sony 4K technology.
Check out the featured video above to see artist Ian Wright’s Pencil Portrait, the first of the three short films.
Xperia Tablet Z made an appearance at this year’s Salone del Mobile too, thanks to an awesome design by Paul Loebach and Logitech. How cool’s this ‘Tablet Book’…
From amazing design to amazing spiders; comic fans around the world can finally rejoice as last night saw the world premier of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which debuted in London’s Leicester Square.
A-listers, film buffs, and fans converged on the UK’s capital to greet Andrew Garfield and co. as they attended the first screening of Peter Parker’s latest adventure. Depending on where you are, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will hit your cinema screen in the coming weeks, but in the meantime check out the trailer here.
Oh, and lastly, don’t forget this week’s Take Out video. It’s a cracker, featuring a new track from The Pixies, a short film by a disgruntled father and a rather menacing looking Angelina Jolie.
