We had earlier reports about the rumored mid range smartphone from Sony, the MT27i ‘Pepper’. Lately, the phone emerged in a press shot giving clues that it would support NFC when it is launched.From the image it’s obvious that the phone doesn’t feature the exclusive “transparent element” that we saw on the rest of Xperia NXT phones announced in the CES 2012 and MWC 2012. NFC connectivity alone would not help the sales of the phone when there is the Xperia U with better design and an acceptable price tag.

- NovaThor U8500 chipset
- 3.7-inch screen(480×854 resolution display)
- 5MP camera
