Since the launch of Xperia™ PLAY, we have been seeing really interesting and cool things created around this amazing smartphone.
Sony Ericsson UK partnered with the indie music band Kasabian and Umbro in a never before seen Football match, where the videogame played through Xperia™ PLAY actually becomes reality through two teams confronting each other, controlled by Kasabian front-man, Tom Meighan and England football star, Darren Bent, using wireless headsets, and specially programmed Xperia™ PLAY smartphones to move them around.
This match makes the gaming world collide with reality, as Sony Ericsson’s transformed Xperia™ PLAY smartphone allowed Tom and Darren select and command players to strike, tackle, cross, dribble, slide, pass – just like in a video game.
This great experience was made to celebrate the ever growing catalogue of games available on Xperia™ PLAY, including great soccer titles, as well as the launch of Kasabian´s new album, Velociraptor!. The video features Kasabian´s single Re-wired.
I think it is amazing! What do you think?
