By now you should have yourself firmly planted in 2014. So without further ado, here’s our first ‘Week in Sony” round up of the year…
Just in time for a commercial slot during the Golden Globes, we’ve released a new TV ad titled Join Together. The ad features Sony engineers and artists coming together as one to create amazing Sony products in a true spirit of collaboration.
As the voiceover says: “An artist can challenge an engineer with the impossible. An engineer can make the impossible possible. We measure our success with the flutter of a heart or a bead of cold sweat. After all, it’s not about what we make; it’s about what we make you feel.”
As well as some of our latest new products, the ad also features a cameo from Spike Lee and an exclusive clip of the new PS4 game DriveClub. Take a look at the video above and let us know what you think in the comments below.
Meanwhile, Music Unlimited is offering you the chance to listen to all the music you want, whenever and wherever you want, for just £1 a month.
Listen on your phone – even without a web connection – or sample your favourite tracks in high quality audio on your PS4, PS3, PS Vita or PC. If you haven’t tried Music Unlimited yet, or maybe you tried it previously but haven’t yet experienced all the latest updates, simply purchase three months for just £3… right now. Be quick though because the offer closes 31st Jan.
And the Sony offers don’t stop there this week as our PlayStation Mobile promo concludes with two final titles: Quiet Please and Monster Hotel.
Quiet Please is a classic adventure game requiring you to interact with your environment and solve super difficult puzzles. Meanwhile, in Monster Hotel you look after a guesthouse, keeping the unusual inhabitants happy as you rise up the leader board. Unlock new monsters, bigger hotels and special rooms as you go! Follow the link for all the details. Speaking of monsters, Tom Rosenthal’s new music video is full of squiggly beasts and killer tunes that will make you smile, “even if you have a heart of steel,” says Katherine and the team over at The Take Out.
As you can see, The Take Out also talk moustaches, á la Wes Anderson’s new movie, and (apparently) One Direction fanbase has got nothing on the popularity of Sriracha sauce – there’s even a documentary on it!
Finally, regular visitors to this Sony Mobile blog will know that we’ve just returned from a triumphant week in Vegas at CES. For all the latest on the new Sony Mobile products, you can take a look at some of the best reviews here, here and here. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t truly delighted at all the positive feedback!
So that’s it for now. We’ll catch you up again next week…
