Sony Ericsson had confirmed the ICS update for all the 2011 Xperias a month back. Since then they had been keeping in touch with the public through their blog posts explaining the development of a ROM and releasing an alpha version for selected models.
Now, they have shed some light on the release dates. The update process will start in two phases:
- End March/ Early April 2012 (for Xperia™ arc S, Xperia™ neo V and Xperia™ ray)
- End April/ Early May 2012 (for Xperia™ arc, Xperia™ PLAY, Xperia™ neo, Xperia™ mini and mini pro, Xperia™ pro, Xperia™ active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman™)
The updates will be a phased roll out over several weeks and all kits for a specific phone model will not get the upgrade at the same time.
