SE Canadian E-Shop Attacked – 2,000 Customer Details Stolen
Another day another theft of data from Sony … well Sony Ericsson to be exact this time. Hacker have targeted Sony Ericsson’s Canadian e-shop and made off with the personal details of some 2,000 customers. It follows on from the PSN attack last month and then there was the attack on Sony’s Greek music service.
There was some good news, well not exactly good more like less bad really, in that Sony Ericsson are saying that the data stolen didn’t include credit card details and that stolen passwords were encrypted. For the moment though the Canadian e-shop is down.

Rooted Androids are banned from watching Android Market movies
You’ll receive this “Error 49″ message if you attempt to play a movie on a rooted device. Rooted devices are currently unsupported due to requirements related to copyright protection.
It seems that Google is afraid of getting trouble from the big movie studios because users with rooted phones would be able to copy the downloaded files to their computer or anything else and then crack the DRM protection. But: The most users of rooted devices know how to get their movies from other sources and copy them then to DVD or something else. Anyways UK users should not be affected of this because they don’t have access to the movie service, yet.
At the moment only user from the U.S. can download movies from there. A few movies only cost 1.99$ and can be watched within 30 days.

Android 2.3.3 update for Arc is out!
Unfortunately we still don’t have a changelog but it’ll probably be the facebook update. Some other improvements could be faster scrolling and better battery life. And: The video recording lag issue seems not to be fixed. But this thing seems to be fixed: Gingerbreak root method.
If you can’t wait till the official release in your country then you can download the Flashtool-files here: xda-developers.com
If you want a pre-rooted version download this: xda-developers.com
Till now we don’t have any information if it’s available for the XPERIA PLAY.
