Back in August we introduced the brand new Xperia M2 Aqua, the waterproof* smartphone for everyone.
Well, now we’re pleased to announce one more exciting bit of news about this mid-range waterproof smartphone; like our recently announced flagship Z3, Xperia M2 Aqua will be available in stunning copper, perfect for those of you who are looking for something more than black and white.
The thinking behind our colour strategy is relatively simple, based around two key elements. The first is to provide our users with choice of expression, one that fits their personality and taste, and second to offer a range of colour and material that is distinctly, and only Sony Xperia.
In the latter half of this year, we’ve employed two colour-lines in our design strategy across the entire portfolio – the “Warm Line”, and the “Jungle Line”… as we have referred to it in the design team…
“Warm” starts with an elemental copper, and has a range towards an exciting, evocative red and orange – “Jungle” is an elegant silver green inspired by galvanised metals, and the line includes colours in fresh green and vibrant lime.
Xperia M2 Aqua in copper is inspired by the fusion of “metal” and “earth” tones, creating a professional look that is different and edgy. Over the last few years we have seen the gradual emergence of copper and brass in high-end furniture, lighting, decoration, accessories, fashion and transportation. Our goal has been to create a premium look and feel that is both sophisticated and contemporary, and in tune with the latest trends
Xperia M2 Aqua in black, white and copper is also exclusively available from Vodafone in select markets such as UK, South Africa and Germany.

* In compliance with IP65 and IP68, the Xperia M2 Aqua is protected against the ingress of dust and is waterproof. Provided that all ports and covers are firmly closed, the phone is (i) protected against low pressure jets of water from all practicable directions in compliance with IP65; and/or (ii) can be kept under 1.5 metres of freshwater for up to 30 minutes in compliance with IP68. The phone is not designed to float or work submerged underwater outside the IP65 or IP68 classification range. This may void your warranty
