This week we have been asking our fans on Facebook [facebook.com/nokiamessaging] and our followers on twitter [twitter.com/nokiamessaging] some questions about how they use email on their phone:

Firstly we asked everyone how often they sent emails from their device:

Most send messages daily with some power users commenting that they would send over 50 a day or that email was the first thing they looked at in the morning on their mobile!

This really shows the reliance some of our users are now putting into email on their phones!

Next we asked about the relationship between email and text, with more and more phones now equipped with email capability when do you send an email instead of a text:

The 2 main reasons given were due to attachments or due to the length of the message. There were also a number of users who referenced the tendency to use email for more “official correspondence” and others who stated that the 2 are not at all comparable!

Meanwhile on the Nokia Facebook page [facebook.com/nokia] they have asked the fans this week what they do most with their mobile, the results are interesting:

Actually making phone calls comes in at 5th here, behind social networking! With email and IM both in the top 10 as well!
