So… our new range of Xperia smartphones are all out in the open, you’re totally wowed by them and you want to switch across – but you can’t because it’s a massive hassle to get everything off your old phone and onto your new Xperia right? Wrong.
The team behind Xperia Transfer has been busy creating the latest version and we’re pleased to say that as of yesterday it’s now ready to download for all you people lucky enough to get your hands on our new Xperia Z3 series.
Earlier in the year we introduced Xperia Transfer for Mobile, which allowed you transfer your stuff (contacts, photos, tunes etc. etc.) from your old smartphone device to your new Xperia, and from your old Tablet device to your new Xperia Z2 Tablet.
Now we have a new version and it’s got even better and faster, allowing you to easily migrate everything that’s important to you from your old device (whether that’s Android, Windows or iOS) to your new Xperia, securely and hassle free.
There is a range of different ways to use Xperia Transfer Mobile depending on the device you’re transferring your content from. The Xperia Transfer Cable allows you to transfer content from any device to your new Xperia, but if you haven’t got one of them, never fear; iOS users can connect through Wi-Fi, Windows users can pair using Bluetooth, and Android users can connect using all of the above as well NFC and PIN.
Once you’ve paired the two smartphones or tablets via one of the available connectivity methods, simply let the new app talk you through the rest of the process. Once it’s done all your contacts, calendar, notes, bookmarks and media will be ready and waiting on your new Xperia. Xperia Transfer Mobile will even recommend the best apps to match to your existing iOS apps so you can get straight on with enjoying the world of Sony experiences that come with an Xperia smartphone.
